Families United [FUN] - Business and Events Co-Ordinator

Families United (FUN) are a small but dynamic and passionate charity based in Warrington. We are dedicated to supporting families who care for children with disabilities. Through a variety of tailored events, resources, and community-driven initiatives we empower families to connect, thrive, and overcome the challenges of caregiving. We are now looking to employ a dynamic Business and Events Co-Ordinator to help support our growing charity. 

Hours: Part-time, 16 hours per week with flexibility (occasional evening and weekend work required)

Location: Remote (potential transition to office premises in the future); ideally, the candidate will reside in or near Warrington but this is not essential.

Contract: 5-year fixed-term

Salary: £15,000 PT (£32,812FTE)

The Role:
  • This is a new and exciting position within the charity and will suit someone who loves to work with people and make a difference within the community. 

  • You will need excellent organisational skills in order to manage, coordinate, and develop our events and outreach activities.

  • You will oversee the planning and delivery of inclusive events, ensuring they meet the needs of our families, whilst managing budgets, timelines, and logistics. 

  • In addition you will gather and analyse data to assess the impact of our events and prepare reports. 

  • You will also help establish connections with local organisations, work on improving event systems and support fundraising initiatives to help grow the charity.

Person Specification:
  • You must have experience in event management or programme administration, preferably within a charity or community organisation. 

  • Strong organisational and project management skills, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office, are essential, with CRM experience being an advantage. 

  • You will need to be adaptable, self-motivated, and able to build effective partnerships, with a genuine passion for supporting families of children with disabilities.

  • You must have excellent interpersonal skills as well as good oral and written communication skills. 

  • Most importantly you must be a great people person and keen to make a difference within the local community.

  • Experience of working with families caring for a child with a disability would be ideal but not essential.
