Temporary Event Notice (TEN)
- When Needed: For events in Warrington with activities like selling alcohol, providing entertainment, or serving hot food/drinks late at night.
- Requirements: Must be submitted to the council at least ten working days before the event. Events must have fewer than five hundred people and last no more than 7 days.
- Cost: approx. £21 per licence.

Gambling and Raffles
- Small Raffles: No registration needed if run during another event, restricted to members, or within the same premises/organization.
- Incidental Non-Commercial Lottery: Tickets sold and drawn during an event, with spending limits on costs and prizes.
- Private Society Lottery: Tickets sold to members and guests on the organization’s premises, with proceeds going to the organization or charity.
Prize Gaming and Gambling
- Regulations: Low-level gaming with small fees and prizes. Maximum participation fee is 50p, and total prizes cannot exceed £500.

An unexpected license is that for recorded material and the definition of audience. Any music (radio, streamed or physical copy) and most produced films (streamed or physical copy) requires permission and dues paid to the creators and rights holders.
Performing or Playing Copyright Material
- Music: Check if the venue has the necessary licences (PRS and PPL) for live or recorded music.
- Film: A licence is needed to show films outside private homes. Costs around £80 per screening. Depending on what you want to show, you may need to apply to multiple distributors.
