Job Title: Senior Specialist Community Worker
Location: Warrington Deaf Centre and surrounding areas.
Salary: £29,120 per annum
Job Type: Full time post 35 hours per week (or 2 x part time posts)

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Specialist Community Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in community work and possess British Sign Language (BSL) skills to effectively communicate with our diverse community members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1-1 support to community members.
- Manage staff rota and ensure adequate coverage.
- Supervise and support team members.
- Liaise with Warrington Disability Partnership on HR issues.
- Develop and implement community programmes and initiatives.
- Facilitate communication and engagement with individuals who use British Sign Language.
- Collaborate with local organisations and stakeholders to enhance community services.
- Conduct outreach and build relationships within the community.
- Maintain accurate records and reports of community activities.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in community work or a related field.
- Proficiency in British Sign Language (BSL) is essential.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Passion for supporting and empowering community members.
- Must be able to work some evenings and weekends.
- Ability to drive and own a car.
